I cant believe its been so long since I posted. I have been diligently taking pictures but surely have not had time to write or post them.
First, I would like to update you with my marathon slash p90x training. I switched my running biking and swimming up for p90x about 3 weeks ago. I literally feel my body getting stronger after each and every work out (this might be because they are 90 minute non stop work outs). It feels great to be doing this with two other girls because there are no excuses for not doing it.

We are also planning on starting a program for a healthier diet and hope to incorporate it in our young families (aka. get our husbands to eat them). Our diet will most likely include eating more chicken, less red meats, less sugar and more veggies. Isn't this the way our mothers taught us to eat? I guess the famous saying "moms are always right" applies in this situation.

Other than eating healthy and doing the work outs, I would really like to get back to running, biking and swimming since I only have about a month till the sprint triathlon. Wish me luck :/

Ok ok... I know what you're thinking, Im not gonna be able to take one picture a day for the rest of the year and it might be true, so... my goal is to take my camera everywhere and take as many pictures as I can and post them on here. Deal? Deal.

Than is munching on a really big potato chip and I was trying to stop him so I could take a picture of it but his hunger was calling so he put it in his mouth as fast as possible.

This picture is of a lady that wanted to get her eyes to look bigger. When I get clients that ask me to do this for them I always tell them to do a thick brown or black liner on the bottom and a light shadow on the top. It works every time.

Wow... its been forever since i posted. Last week was psycho week for me. I worked 6 out of the 7 days last week. So... there is so much to catch up on. First lets just say that my training was only possible to do mon, wed and friday morning. But me and my work out buddy have an awesome training program we just started today. It is called p90x. I am sure a lot of you have heard of it and how crazy and intense it is and let me tell you.... IT IS INTENSE! its non stop moving and doing things that I dont think my body is able to do.

So... This weekend was a super busy weekend at the MAC counter. We had a new line launch and I had to work lots of hours. As hard as this was, I really enjoyed it. I had so much fun making people feel pretty, telling them what they need and being their personal make up artist. I love teaching them how to look their best :) Anywho, I am a little behind posting so lets get started

Than woke up valentines morning all kinds of early to make me an elaborate breakfast. I don't even know how he did this without me waking up!

I unfortunately had to work my one sunday a month on valentines day so when I got home, my sweet husband had a delicious dinner ready to celebrate valentines day. He made grilled shish kabobs and made rice from scratch. Who would have known that I had a husband that could cook (or would cook). I guess it makes sense, both his parents are amazing cooks.

Day 46
February 15th was our 6 month anniversary and it to our luck, it was a holiday (I planned it that way when we were trying to pick a date :) not really). So he once again woke up early and made us german pancakes. Then went on a walk around BYU campus and had lunch at a hawaiian place with his aunt and cousins. I took this picture of Than and them in the car.

Since it was our 6 month, Than made reservations at a fancy dinner and all I knew was that I had to wear a nice dress. When we arrived, the hostess took my coat and sat us. There were 3 people taking care of our needs such as silverware, water and food. The place is called chefs table and it really was so nice there. Than ordered grilled chx in a delicious white sauce and I ordered a tenderloin in a brown sauce. When they brought our food out we thought the color coding according to our skin color was a funny coincidence. We had a lot of fun at the restaurant celebrating our first six months as a married couple together.

Here is also my training for the last week: thursday I went snowboarding for 4 hours, friday I went running 3 miles, then I took sat, sun and monday off. I need to make those two days off somehow. The plan is to bike 5 miles and swim a half a mile today and keep working hard the rest of the week so I can catch up.

This is dinner last night. I have been trying to feed my husband more veggies and less pasta so I made grilled lemon chicken with asparagus and other veggies. It is funny to see how much he has grown to love lime and is now obsessed with putting in on everything. Its cute.

MAC is coming out with a new spring collection this thursday and one of my favorite things are the Lady Gaga viva glam lipstick and finger nail polish. They're bubble gum pink (didn't see that coming with Lady Gaga)

We had the wonderful opportunity of spending the night at our cousins, Drew and Rachel's house for the weekend. They were so hospitable and nice. I got a snapshot of our little cousin Lexi with green finger and mouth sunday afternoon. We also got a shot of Adeli and Andy at church. They were so fun to be with and we cant wait to see them all again.

So much happened this weekend. My luck with electronics has been awful. My poor computer began to freak out and freeze last week. We took it to the mac store and fortunately it was still under warranty. They replaced the hard drive with a brand new one. The only problem with this is that they did not hold the other hard drive so that I could get all my pictures, school papers and everything in it out. You can imagine how heart breaking this was. I am in the process of getting mac to get the hard drive back and try to get my stuff transfered to my new hard drive.

I should be posting my pictures as soon as I can get 'I photo' installed in this new hard drive. I will keep you posted on the progress of getting my goodies back.

Training progress: I ran 3 miles on monday, took tuesday off and will be swimming 750 m tonight with a couple of friends.

A lot has happened since I last posted. After I found my camera, my computer broke. It kept freezing up on me and I thought that was very strange because macs just dont do that (specially macs that are less than a year old). We finally decided to take it to the mac store to get it fixed since it is within that year of waranty. They took a couple of days and it is finally done :) So here are the million of updates and pictures I have been takling this week

Day 34-36

I had my Mac training on wednesday, where they show us all the new collections and wonderful stuff coming for spring season. They trat us like queens!! First we meet for breakfast at a nice restaurants conference room, then we talk about make up for a couple hours, then we eat a delicious gourmet italian food and finally talk and lear more about make up. How can a day get any better? Here are the shots. Ps these will count for three days of picture taking since there are so many:

This pic is of my lean cuisine dinner. I had never had it before and was so excited to try it. It was actually not bad. I dont think I could eat that every day but I liked it enough to be able to put in the microwave and be done!!

Sorry I am behind on my postings! I have been taking a picture a day tho but I just have not had the time to put them on here. So here are the pictures for the past couple of days.

Day 28

I took this picture of our invention in the kitchen. We had been trying to figure out where to put our cooking spatulas etc and we found a way to make a tension rod stay in between two cabinets behind the stove. We found the hooks at bb&b and the tension rod at lowes. Here it is:

Today's picture is of the Nordstrom store I will be working at. I recently landed a job at the Mac counter in Nordstrom. I was not expecting to get hired this quickly but with the help of a few friends and Sarah (my model, who's make up I did for the make up application demo), I was able to get the job seven interviews and a week later. So here is a picture of the store outside and me leaving a long day of training (dont ask me why i look sad). This is a big reason why I have not had any time to post. I have been training at mac and still have my job at heritage makers. Hopefully my schedule will be back to normal soon. I will be posting some more pics in the future of the inside.

Training update: I went cycling on tuesday 5 miles and swimming 15 laps on wednesday (its harder than it sounds) and today was my rest day :)

Day 25

We had the wonderful oportunity of going to the suns game tonight. We first went to olive garden for dinner in down town Salt Lake. Then we parked at the BYU Salt Lake parking lot and off we went to see the Lakers and Suns play. The suns played so well for the first 3 quarters and we were sure they were going to win. Then I bet than that they would do what they have been doing for the past several games, which is to loose at the last quarter. And guess who was right. The suns had an 18 point lead and lost by 8 points. We were both very disappointed. We still got some good pics of us and also of Stoudamire shooting some free throws. So here are the pics :)

Day 24

I have decided that I need to expand my horizons and look up an eyeshadow look online and do it on my eyes. This will help me try new things and learn what colors and styles go best with my eye shape. Day 3 and 4

Here is what I promised. The pictures for day 3 and 4. I actually took these during christmas but have not gotten around developing the ones that were actually for days 3 and 4. I probably wont until i learn how to use my camera. Its so hard cause its not digital. If anyone out there reading this blog knows about film cameras and can teach me how to use mine, please call me or text me and we'll get together some time for lunch and a lesson.

This picture was taken at the Billings home in Arizona Christmas eve. Sister Billings made asked Than to be Santa for our cute little niece Lizzy. I tried to make him wear pillows so he would actually look more like santa but he was getting too hot under all the clothing.

This picture was taken a while back on our monthaversary. Than brought home flowers and I made sushi and decorated the table. It was so fun to celebrate our fist month together and haven't stopped celebrating out monthaversary since.

Day 23

Happy International pie day!

How do i know this? Than and I were at village in on thursday and the manager gave us two coupons to come back on the 23rd for free slices of pie. What a joy. I have to thank Than for introducing me to this wonderful place with delicious pies... We also found out about getting a free slice of pie every wednesday night with ANY purchase. So... we figured we could get a glass of milk for about a buck and get a free slice of pie!! We have decided to make this a tradition. Here is a picture of the sign at the restaurant:

Day 22

Today I was felt lots better. I was able to go to school and work and even on a date with Than to red lobster... yumm. I ordered my favorite thing there: salmon. Getting to the restaurant was the most interesting part of the night. It was snowing the hardest I have ever seen it snow in my life. I got some shots of the shots of the snow flakes. As you will notice, they were huge!! Here are the pics:

Training update: I need to be better at posting these and also about posting on weekends! I just get so busy and get home late and am too tired to write :( Than did amazing on friday. He ran 8 miles on the treadmill. I on the other hand did not. I'm still recovering from my stummy problems, but I should be ok by the begining of next week (knock on wood). Ill keep you posted.

Day 21

Today, I wanted to post a picture of what we will be doing every thursday night till the end of the semester. Both me and Than have classes up at the Salt Lake BYU campus. He is taking Physics and I am taking an advance writing class. We figured it would be a lot easier if we took it at this campus. It has been good for us because that means that we get to spend a little more time together because we are both pretty busy with school and work. Day 20

Today I am feeling a little better, there's nothing worst than having a tummy ache. Anywho, I was feeling pretty glum so my hubby went and got me a conditioner that I had been wanting for a really long time. Its called Pureology Nano Works. It is the best smelling conditioner in this world. I guarantee if you ever try it you will fall in love with it!! My friend who is a hairstylist, gave it to me on my 19th birthday and i have been completely addicted since the day it touched my head. It really brightened up my glummy day and my hair feels so soft and clean and it smells so super good. Here is a picture of it:

Day 18

I love holidays! Today was so fun. I got to take our cousin on Thans side, Sarah to breakfast for her birhtday and we had such a neat time. She is such an amazing young woman. There are so many attributes that I she has that I wish I had.

After breakfast, we went to MAC to do my demo interview. It was so much fun to do Sarah's make up and she was so super cooperative. Then I went home and and me and Than had a meeting with our activities committee co-chair people to plan the year out. It was really fun to brainstorm different ideas for the activities we would have with our ward.

After the meeting, Than and I went home and made lasagna for dinner. We ate and took a little nap (since we got up semi early). Then we went to his basketball game. This week they were against some crazy people. It was a super intense game because the guys on the other team were cry babies and the refs were terrible so it just did not go well. Than on the other hand played amazing. He even got a fat lip from playing super hard. I think he had at least 16 points in the game.

Day 17

Today we had the wonderful opportunity of going to aunt Barbara's house. We had a delicious meal and hung out and talked while eating around the table. After, we had cake and ice cream for all the January birthdays. We had a really good time until me and Than started to play hide and seek with his little 1 and a half year old cousin. When it was my turn to go find him i really surprised him and said "hi andy!" he jumped and screamed like a little girl. I don't know what scared him so much but he sure made it sound like he had just seen a ghost (maybe he thinks brown people are ghosts). He eventually got over it after he was consoled by his mom. Here is a picture of me and him when he was happy (you really cant see his happiness in his facial expression because of the two fingers he's got in his mouth but I promise he is a happy kid). Day 16

Today, I took a picture of Than sleeping after the cadinals game. He was so tired from playing 3 hours of basketball in the morning. Poor guy. Here's the picture:

Day 15

Yesterday I took a picture of a cake me and Than's best friends wife made for the suns game. Unfortunately, the suns lost in the last little bit of time left. The game was super intense tho. Thats the only way I enjoy watching a game, if it is a close game or if Than is playing. So here is a picture of the cake:

Day 14

I have been so busy with school and now applying to get rehired at MAC. Its been a lot of work. Any who, I took a couple pictures of us on thursday when we went snowboarding. We only went for 2 hours cause we had to go up to Salt Lake to get a couple things done. So here is the picture for that:

Day 13

Today we had the wonderful opportunity of baby sitting Addison. She is our neighbors cute one year old daughter. She is the cutes little girl. They are in our ward and she keeps us entertained all of church. They called me up last night to see if we could baby sit her for them while they did a session at the temple. They're soo good! They still go even though they have a small child to take care of.

As soon as they dropped her off, she started running around the house grabbing everything that was in her sight. We sat down to eat dinner and Than was worried she would choke on something so i

sat her in my lap and she started grabbing food from my plate. She got sour cream all over her fingers and then mouth. It was interesting to see how we both reacted to her actions.

When we were done eating we started to play with her. We tried to put my helmet and goggles on her but it was too heave for her poor little head so we had to succumb to other resources. I then put a my hat on her and she seemed to like that ok. What she really loved was my hair extensions. I clipped them on her beautiful blond locks and she didnt even notice. I took a bunch of pictures of her but will try to refrain from posting them all.

Finally, her parents came to the door to pick her up. Right before they came, she had gotten a little fuzzy but it was interesting because she cried a little and kept giving me hugs. I didnt understand what she wanted but it was sure cute to have her crawl into my arms instead of pushing me away. When her parents showed up she was back to her normal self. It was so much fun to see her interact with Than. He is going to be such a great dad. I cant wait to have his children.

Training update: Woke up at 6 to go to the gym, ran 2 milel on the tread mill and lifted for about a half hour while I was waiting for Than to be done with his work out.

Day 12

   Today was a good day. Than and I woke up early to go work out. He went and played basketball for a couple hours and I went to a spinning class with my gym buddy. Our instructor was psycho. She made us do all kinds of ridiculous intervals. It was very difficult keeping up with her, but she kept screaming at us telling us we were strong. I think I believe in screaming in working out. She really kept us going saying things like "ONLY YOU WAKE UP AT SIX IN THE MORNING TO BIKE TO MILEY CYRUS". She made this comment because everyone went crazy when the party in the USA song came on. It was quite entertaining.
   After an exhausting hour of pain and climbing fake mountains, I ran home and took a warm shower and got ready for the day. Todays picture is one of the clock in our room telling the time. If you want a challenge yourself to wake up early to exercise, take a picture and send it to my email ixchelrodriguez@yahoo.com. Day 11

Since both me and Than couldn't wake up in the morning, I just had to go on my run later in the day. Todays picture is a picture taken from the mountains about a mile from my house. I just couldn't help but to take my ipod and my camera running with me and enjoy the wonderful cold weather. It feels so good to run outside when it is cold (not so much in the morning, but during the day it is wonderful). I believe running in the cold allows you to run faster and further. You dont feel so out of breath all the time (compared to running in a hot Az day :/)

Just a quick tip, if you are going to work out, just get out of the way in the morning. You won't have to think and dread going to the gym or on a run all day long. Basically just do it. Its easier said than done but i just had the hardest time getting my self motivated enough to go on that run today. I promise to get up at six tomorrow (I kinda have to cause I am meeting a friend at the gym to take a spinning class). Who' sin?

Day 10

I did it!! I picked a training plan that I will follow for the rest of the semester. What a joy. Than and I are starting tomorrow morning. since I run slower than him and he is a wimp for the cold we have come to the consensus of running on a treadmill at the gym (not the best for your knees) but it will suffice. Here it is: whoever wants to follow it is welcome to. I will provide tips and personal experience tales for you to read.

Day 9

So, here is what I promised. The highlight of my week (more like my whole semester). I forgot to add that we also got a snowboard bag in addition to everything else. I cant wait to try everything out. Than wanted to go snowboarding tonight. I think he is more excited than I am for all my new stuff. Its kinda cute. We ended up going over to our friends house and watching the cowboys beat the eagles in the play offs and played games at the same time.

Work out update: Me and my work out buddy ran 3 miles which felt wonderful and went to a power pump class, basically a weight lifting class. The class was super full (probably all of us that are trying to commit to our new year resolutions). We are pretty excited to start planning for the marathon maybe triathlon together. It will be really helpful to have my friends and family training together. Hopefully we can work out our schedules so we can work out together as much as possible.

Day 8

Sorry for not posting something last night. We were so busy all day, but I did get to take a picture. We both had school and decided to go snow boarding and get a couple runs in. I think Than is addicted now. He is taking a snowboarding class and gets to go every thursday. Im not going to lie . I am a little jealous (although, I get to join his class a couple of times throughout the semester :p)

After snowboarding, we came home and started getting ready to go up to salt lake to meet some friends for dinner at Texas Roadhouse (best rib place I know). There was a 180 minute wait for a table of 6. So we decided to go to sports authority that was right across the street from Texas.

To our surprise, everything was 75% off the regular price with an additional 50% off the discounted price. We asked why everything was so cheap and the rep said the models were a couple years old but that they were in perfect condition. We got help from one of the associates and and we finally found a snowboard that was my perfect fit. It went from $499.00 to $49.00. Which is a steal. We then find it some matching bindings for about the same price. We left the store with a new snowboard, bindings, two burton jackets, some new pants for Than for under $250.00. We couldn’t believe it! We feel so lucky to have found exactly what we needed at such an outrageously awesome price. I had been needing a new snowboard for a couple years now and I guess it was worth the wait.

Now we have an extra board and bindings for anyone interested in going with us sometime (we also have another board that doesn't have bindings, all we would have to do is rent them at the resort). Hit me up if you are interested in going before the season is over in April.

Ok now, this is the picture we took outside Texas. This one counts for yesterday and I will be posting a picture of the boards and the other cool stuff later today.

Update

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to let you know that pictures for days 3 and 4 are coming. I took the pictures for these days with our nicer cannon camera that unfortunately only does film. So I have to wait until all the film runs out to get the pictures from the film put into a CD, and then will I be able to upload them on here. (I obviously didn't think that one through). Can't wait!

Day 7
I know I'm jumping the gun by posting this a couple hours early but I could not help my self. I went to the mall to return a couple things and stopped by finish line... and they there were... my next running shoes.

Unfortunately, thats not really how it went. I was asked if I needed any help and I said, yes and asked for the cheapest best running shoe in the store. I gave him a couple of ideas of what I wanted and he led me to some shoes that were $39. I tried them on and they were ok.

I kept looking around the store and there were some shoes in the sales rack for $49. I tried them on and they were exactly what I wanted. Snug on the heal, wide on the toesies, soft sole, mesh. They were the perfect shoe for me. I was in a dilemma tho. I thought to myself, should I save $10 or should I get the shoes I want. I decided to call my wise husband and he told me to go with the ones that felt right. So I did.

I was so excited to show Than my new awesome buy. When I got home and showed them to him, he said they looked pretty flimsy. Fortunately, I had the greatest idea of emailing my teacher a couple pictures of the new shoe and see what he thinks.

I am so very anxious to wear them but will patiently wait until I get his response. I will keep you posted on what he says.

I am waking up early to go to a spinning class. My professor says, if you don't feel like running one day, swim or bike for an hour and its like you ran 5 miles. So thats what Im doing tomorrow. I cant wear my new shoes, so Im going to bike for an hour at the gym instead with a good friend of mine. We'll see how it goes. Good night!!

Day 6

I am taking a jogging class and I think its gonna be really good for me to get out and train. My and Than are planning on running a marathon at the end of the semester. I was kinda bummed about HAVING to train, but when I went to my running class, I got really pumped up and wrote a raining program. Im waking up at six tomorrow to start the program.
